For filmmakers and writers:
We program a range of high quality film and episodics with particular interest in unique approaches to story and form. Equally we award excellence in screenwriting and promote selected authors in our festivals. We aim to embrace the independent sensibility that comes from working outside of a mainstream studio system: original, challenging, fresh, and provocative in form and content. Specifically, we program feature films and short form content (film, tv, and web) including drama, comedy, horror/sci-fi, LGBTQ+, and experimental, as well as student films, and artist’s moving image.
Each season we program the top finalists from our open submission calls in each category. This number varies depending upon quality and quantity of submissions received. Winners in each category will receive a special online screening night and all finalists will have their work shown over the entire month of the festival. All submitters at minimum have the opportunity to have their trailer screened here during the month of the festival.
Deadline for submissions canbe found at FilmFreeway via the button below. We hold several festivals throughout the calendar year. There are no restrictions as to date of film production or premiere status, though we will tend to prioritize films and works made over the previous 12 months.
