Writer Biography - Leiter Daniells.

I'm a Police Officer working in a major Metropolitan City with over twenty-five years of Law Enforcement experience. I received my B.A. from DePaul University and my M.C.J. from Boston University.

However, my passion is writing and creating unique ideas fueled with concepts the literary world has not seen yet. Quentin Tarantino once said, "What's the movie that we have never seen before because you haven’t made it? Then go out and make that movie."

Kevin Coval

“Madina”

(Drama Short Film)

Madina in the summertime is an unconventional love story of connection and self actualization, as Madina takes a leap into who she always hoped to be, a writer of culture. Madina is a woman who has taken the safe route and resides carefully in the suburbs of Chicago with her aloof husband, Sam. A chance encounter in the city leads Madina to a carefree artist, Caleb. Their friendship develops in an unexpected way, through whimsical nights of music and laughter. Madina finds herself thinking about Caleb, as more than just friends; but can’t let go of how he makes her feel, like everything she dreamed of becoming.

This story of connection is made to evoke relatable moments through scenes of chemistry and unspoken magnetism. As Chicago embeds the culture of the movie, we see allusions to the art scene that are personified through Caleb’s character; intoxicating, untamed and home. Madina’s complexities are amplified through her struggle between safety with her husband, Sam and adventure, with Caleb. This film captures the difficult dichotomy of facing dreams and reality. You’re meant to feel the balance of an unexpected connection that reenergizes a dampened soul through a summer love and the heartache of a hard decision.
